A tree grows large, strong, and fruitful when it is secured by its roots to water and soil. Human learning starts the minute we are born and requires our brain to receive and process information. We learn until we decide to stop learning. Therefore, learning is a choice, and when you decide to learn, life becomes an adventure. It’s called lifelong learning and encompasses all of life, not just academia.

School and curriculum-based learning is a part of the greater learning that we do. It is set to guide students in a particular direction and equip them for interacting with the wider worlds of commerce, law, medicine, and society in general. For that to occur you need the twin foundations of literacy and numeracy. If these aren’t well established, the rest of our school journey can be unpleasant and difficult.
Tutoring exists because not all students do well in formal settings. Even those who are doing well sometimes find they need extra support, and that’s where I can be of most benefit. I enjoy sitting with people and helping them understand and succeed in their learning journey.
